The man who bought the bus, an LA-based investment firm called Kavanagh, has offered to step up to buy the tour bus if West agrees to give it to him for free. That offer caught West by surprise, as CBS reports that the rapper declined the offer.
West’s attorney and manager, Bob Ritt, reportedly said the singer “was not happy with the terms of the offer on Wednesday night,” but West was reportedly not willing to give up control of the tour bus.
West’s spokesman, Austin Bragg, reportedly said their client was “receptive” to the offer, but West was not interested in selling the bus without a payout.
One thing that could ultimately help West: TMZ reports that West has filed sexual harassment claims against some of his critics.
West’s latest album, “Yeezus,” is in the Top 5 on the Billboard charts, and his recent tour, “The Life of Pablo,” has been the subject of controversy over the “funk” it contains. The controversy is largely centered on a video he shot in New Orleans, and some people have criticized it for being a celebration of police brutality.
West was also criticized earlier this year for having “a fetish for police officers.”
