Alleged attacker asked for Nancy Pelosi before beating her husband with hammer
The man accused of attacking Donald Trump’s top campaign adviser with a deadly hammer at his Florida home in June was asked out on the night of the attack by ‘a woman’ as he struggled to get in touch with Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort, according to sources.
Alex Alexeusson, a 30-year-old man who was arrested for his alleged crimes over the past three weeks, spent the night before the attack with his girlfriend at their house in Broward County. But he didn’t make any contact with Manafort, who was at this time working for the Trump campaign.
The attack on Manafort, which lasted for 10 seconds, took place on the front patio of the couple’s home at the end of a long, winding driveway, according to police reports compiled by the Sun Sentinel (http://bit.ly/2lOzqyY ).
The couple had been talking on the phone at the time of the beating.
‘He just kept asking for Paul Manafort,’ the woman told police, according to the Sun Sentinel. ‘I told him that Manafort wasn’t home.’
The woman said she told Alexeusson that Paul Manafort was not home because he was in Florida campaigning for Trump.

Alexeusson, a single man who has been living at the woman’s home since June, was ‘told by the woman he was on vacation’, according to police reports.
He said the woman mentioned she had invited him to celebrate. Alexeusson told police he didn’t know why he was there and the woman told him he was there to celebrate the night he gave her a massage.
The following morning, he admitted his actions, telling police he was ‘drinking a lot of beer’ and ‘feeling stressed out’.
He also reportedly said he was invited there by a’man’.
